HSeT - SGH Training Center

The SSH e-Training Center - http://ssh.bio-med.ch - is part of an e-teaching project launched in 2009 by the Swiss Society of Hematology (SSH), aiming at harmonization of the Postgraduate Medical Education (PME) between the diverse Hematology centers in Switzerland.

This portal should also open new possibilities of theoretical PME in partnership with the H-Net project of the European Hematology Association (EHA) and other e-learning providers.

The access to the portal is free of charge but needs an easy schedule for the first login.

The basic pilot module that is ready for navigation is the "backbone" of the Training Center in the form of a SYNOPSIS OF HEMATOLOGY. The module brings in a condensed way the core knowledge in Hematology with the exception of the domain or Transfusion Medicine for wihich a basic module can be made available but presently only in its French version. This module is updated yearly.

The synopsis is completed by a Gallery of basic hematological pictures that can be accessed directly and, whenever needed, form a link located on the pages of the synopsis relevant to the corresponding pathological situation.

You are welcome to enrich or complete the gallery by sending your own pictures to the coordinator.  

The Synopsis is aimed at:

• rapid information search
• knowledge assessment and/or revision in Hematology, following the steps of the training program

Self-assessment questions will be added in the near future at the end of each topic to help detecting knowledge gaps.

This SSH Training Center portal will progressively harbor different modules related to the diverse domains of Hematology.
