Disclosure of monetary benefits to the Swiss Society of Hematology (SSH)

The SSH is an association within the meaning of Art. 60 of the Swiss Civil Code and is the professional association and specialist society for doctors with the specialist title of hematology. The SSH is a non-profit organization and does not pursue any commercial objectives.

The SSH finances its activities primarily through membership fees; contributions from third parties are disclosed transparently. The independence of the SSH is always guaranteed and is not compromised by contributions from third parties.

Cooperation between healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, conference organizers and industry is subject to legal requirements, professional regulations and codes of conduct. The SSH relies on multi-sponsorship for its events/conferences through several independent corporate contributions in sponsor categories with transparent sponsorship criteria. Cooperation with the industry is documented and the funds received are disclosed on the SSH website.

The annually renewed sponsorship complies with the applicable regulations, in particular the Ordinance on Integrity and Transparency in the Field of Therapeutic Products (TPITO), the SAMS guidelines and the Pharma Cooperation Code. These ensure that independence is maintained. Pharmaceutical companies have no influence on the scientific program. Their participation in events is limited. All speakers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
