Mission statement and bylaws

The SSH

  • works with other professional associations and organizations to ensure optimal treatment and care for patients with hematological diseases
  • works with other professional associations and organizations to define quality standards for the treatment and care of patients with hematological diseases
  • is responsible for postgraduate and continuous education
  • represents the interests of all hematologists, regardless of the care structure (hospital, laboratory or practice, young or old)
  • is committed to ensuring that patients with hematological diseases have rapid and equal access to scientifically proven, effective/innovative therapies
  • creates a health policy/regulatory framework that enables hematologists to treat and care for their patients effectively and to a high standard
  • is recognized as a competent, innovative and reliable point of contact for health policy or clinical issues relating to cancer medicine
  • is committed to a high level of care in cancer treatment
  • aims to minimize the administrative burden on hematologists so that they have as much time as possible for their patients and research
  • maintains regular contact with key stakeholders

SSH Bylaws

The following bylaws amend the bylaws of 2 May 1947, revised on 5 May 1950, 19 May 1962, 16 June 1977, 10 May 1984, 24 May 2012, 4 May 2017, 19 November 2020, 18 November 2021, 23 November 2023 and 21 November 2024.
